Dr Shelley James - Collaborating Artist in CenSes
Dr Shelley James studied textiles at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris before an MA in printmaking at UWE in Bristol and a PhD in glass at the Royal College of Art. Recent commissions include the Jerwood Maker’s Award, the Corning Studio Residency, the Medical Research Council Centenary, the Science Gallery Illusions exhibition, the Royal Society Summer exhibition and an Arts Council England collaboration with Sir Roger Penrose. Current research combines print and glass to play with the parameters of depth perception.
