The Institute is advised by its Advisory Council and its day-to-day business is supported by the Management Committee.
Advisory Council
The Advisory Council, made up of academic philosophers, some senior members of the University of London, and other people connected to philosophy. Members of the Council come from across the UK. The chair of the Council is Professor Quassim Cassam
The Advisory Council oversees the activity of the Institute and advises the director on its business.

London Colleges Committee
The London Colleges Committee meets to promote and manage activities linked to the London philosophy departments, the London Arts and Humanities Partnership (LAHP) and the Jacobsen Trust. Membership is drawn from the philosophy departments of the Colleges of the University of London.
